Child sponsorship is a great way to support the work of TCFDT and help change a child’s life in Tanzania.

TCFDT have 2 sponsorship programmes:

1. General Child Sponsorship
2. Child Education Sponsorship

General Child Sponsorship: It costs £35 per month to look after a child at Kazima Childrens Home. This includes all their food, medical expenses, clothes, utilities and transport costs.

Education Sponsorship:  This covers all their school fees, uniforms, school bag and books and transports costs. This currently costs £50 per month for a primary school child and £70 per month for a secondary school child. Part sponsorship options are also available from as little as £10 per month.

Or perhaps you might wish to consider a one-off donation. A gift of £65 allows us to pay a staff members wage at Kazima Childrens Home for one month.

Support for TCFDT can be made on a regular, occasional or one-off basis using any of the following methods:

Contributions

Cheques should be made payable to TCFDT which will go into the general funds and be used by the discretion of the trustees where most needed or allocated to a specific need if requested.

Standing Order

It is also possible to have your bank set up a Standing Order to send support on a regular basis (please contact us rhona@tcfdt.org for details).

Gift Aid

Provided you are a UK Taxpayer, your personal contribution can be made by way of Gift Aid which allows TCFDT(NI) to claim an additional amount from HM Revenue and Customs on your gift. TCFDT(NI) does NOT deduct a percentage for this service. (Please contact rhona@tcfdt.org for details)

Legacy

This is an often overlooked method of support. Any gift made to TCFDT under the terms of your Will can easily be arranged in conjunction with your Solicitor when making or reviewing your Will. Any such gift is free of inheritance tax. Click Here for further details.
