I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. Psalms 121 v1-2 We arrived back in N. Ireland safely without any issues. It’s hard to believe that we have less than 2 weeks before we start our journey back to Tanzania. We have enjoyed our time visiting family, friends and supporters. We have been very busy but we are greatly encouraged, truly blessed and refreshed.
We had a lovely time with our daughter Esther and James on their graduation in Carlisle, and then made our way up to Aberdeen to visit Pauline’s sister and her husband for a few days. We praise God that things at the children’s home seem to be going well. Reports have all been good and we have been able to talk with some staff and the children. They all enjoyed their special dinner on Easter Sunday. We did receive a telephone call from Margaret to say that Kalala, John’s right hand man, had an accident on the circular saw where he cut his hand quite badly. We have spoken to him, and he seems to be doing OK. Pray that he will be fully healed and that there will be no long-term damage. Pray also for his wife who has been ill.
Just before leaving Kazima, we had trenches dug on the ground above our property. These are to help in diverting the large volumes of water that have been running through the property lately after heavy rains. These were dug by hand in the shape of a ‘V’. We hope this will prevent further flooding.

The work on the replacement building is continuing. Both dorms and the baby room have been plastered. The progress has been delayed slightly with Kalala having the accident. Continue to pray for the children’s education and the way forward in this regard. Pray for our return to Tanzania on the 12th May, as we gather together all that we need to take with us. Please pray for those who plan to visit the Children’s Home this year. Trevor, Karen, Rachel and James are planning to be with us from the 3rd June for 3 weeks. Pray for their preparations in these upcoming weeks. Pray that they will be blessed as they give of their time and that the children and staff will also be blessed. Peter is planning, DV to be with us for 2 months from August and David is considering a trip later in the year. We are ever thankful for your continued faithful prayers and support for the Lord’s work in Tanzania. Love in Christ, John & Pauline
