Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us. Matthew ch1v23 We praise the Lord for enabled strength over the past month. On the 9th November Pauline’s father went home to be with his Lord and Saviour. We were so glad that Pauline was able to get home and spend some time with him before his passing. It was a difficult time for John being so far away in Tanzania. Robert will be missed. We were thankful for the modern technology to be able to communicate with John regularly and to enable him and others to join the service of thanksgiving via Zoom. We appreciate all your prayers for us and the wider family circle during this time.
Pauline arrived safely back in Tanzania on the 17th November minus 2 suitcases. The airline was fantastic and had them delivered to Tabora on the next available flight. We praise the Lord that all was intact. Everyone was glad to have her back!
The work on the replacement building has been a little slower than expected due to the circumstances over the past month. A section of the reinforced ring beam has been completed and the rest is currently being worked on. The walls have been tracked for the electrics. A new water line has been connected to the building, the new septic tank has been dug and the concrete floor cast. We are trying to bring all the little important parts of the build along at the same time. We value your prayers as we work at heights on the ring beam and the roof. December is going to be a very busy month with the new school year commencing in January. We have decided to move Sami to a different school. She will be commencing P4 (grade 4). Sami along with three others, Shabani, Julie, and Ruth, P1 (grade 1) will be sitting an entrance exam on the 6th December to see where they will be placed. Pray for all the books, uniform, etc that are needed. We praise the Lord for our teacher Agnes and all that she does with the little ones, preparing them for school. We have had very heavy rain, 31mm in 1 hour. A real blessing to see everything spring into life once again and a slight drop in temperature. We pray that this is the commencement of the wet season and that crops will do well.
Meet Gerevas who arrived last month. He is 7 months old. His mother has mental health issues and had killed her first child. He took a few days to settle but is doing well and is loved by his new brothers and sisters. We take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Our sincere thanks for your prayers and support for the Lord’s work in this part of the vineyard over the past year. Love in Christ, John & Pauline
