There are now 29 children (16 boys and 13 girls) in the Childrens home. If you are interested in sponsoring a child please contact us at secretary@tcfdt.org.

New Childrens Home building

In 2016, we commenced an additional building to the children's home to meet future demand requirements, both for additional children and a suitable building as the current children get older. Teams were primarly involved in building work (block building, electrical work, painting, plumbing, joinery work) and help looking after the children. The building is completed and opened in September 2018.

Water Borehole

In October 2017, with the support of www.thirstnomore.org, a 100m deep borehole was drilled with succesful discovery of a clean water supply. This is a real belssing to the Childrens Home and we trust will meet the water needs for many years to come.

John & Pauline took up the role of Children's Home House Parents in Tanzania in early 2013

We had been praying for some time regarding House Parents for the Childrens Home at Kazima. While we had been praying the Lord had been quietly speaking and challenging John and Pauline regarding this work of the Childrens Home. Please pray for them that they might know Gods blessing upon them as they have now taken this step in their lives. They have moved to Tanzania in April 2013. Please pray for all the work required in the Children's Home in Tabora and the looking after of the 29 children.

This is indeed a new beginning in many aspects of the work of TCFDT. A new beginning for John and Pauline as they have taken this huge step of faith in obedience to God's calling upon their lives into full time service. A new country to live in, a new culture, a new language, a new climate although not all totally foreign to them. Away from their children, family and many friends and a different type of work. We can also say a New Chapter in the history of TCFDT. John and Pauline are the first full time workers since Gordon and Phyllis McCormick founded the work in 1993. They count it a great honour to be able to serve the Lord. We praise the Lord for his faithfulness throughout these past years.

Can you give of your time to help develop the Children's Home?

We are seeking volunteers who would have a desire to serve the Lord in Tabora. They would take up the role of supporting the Childrens Home for an agreed period of time, setting up and training the Tanzanian's for this same task. We feel that this is very necessary so that we will be able to give the children the best possible start in their little lives.
